Rais of Tatarstan hands over 57 new school buses to the cities and districts of the republic

On 6 August during his working trip to Kukmor region the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremony of handing over 57 new school buses to cities and regions of the republic which will be sent to educational institutions of 20 municipalities.

By decision of the Rais of Tatarstan, the republic has purchased 567 school buses since 2020 and every day 822 buses provide transportation services to 955 school routes. “This makes it possible to bring 28 thousand kids to school and back home. Today we are handing over 57 school buses and in total there will 140 of them this year,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

He stated that federal and regional programmes make it possible to solve an important task of ensuring that children in every locality have equal access to quality education. “It goes without saying that the school bus driver has a huge responsibility as safety of our children in the most important thing,” the Rais of the republic emphasized.
