The Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov holds a regular meeting of the Investments Council of the republic

On July 29, in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a regular meeting of the Investments Council of the republic with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.

The first project was related to the expansion of a research and education center in Almetyevsk (the campus of the Higher Oil School). “The Higher Oil School in Almetyevsk is a world level educational center. This is a very serious and needed project and we support it with gratitude,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

Rustam Minnikhanov also approved the next investments project aimed at the establishment of an industrial regional park in Tukayevsky region of the republic. The park will have all necessary power supply and transport infrastructure and nine companies have already applied to become its residents.

“This project is in demand as such industrial sites are needed in our regions. The most important thing is that they develop,”’ the Rais of the republic said.

Speaking about the project of the Turbine Industrial Park in Zelenodolsk of the Amkor group of companies, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Issues of turbines and their repairs are very important for the whole country. We could provide these services not only for the republic but also for other regions.”

The members of the Council also approved the plans of the integrated development of Haier industrial technology park in Naberezhnyye Chelny and the project of the TatKraft Invest Company of construction the second stage of a hotel complex at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center.

Giving his comments, Rustam Minnikhanov said he is sure the new hotel will be in demand and added that exhibition events at the Kazan Expo are attracting more and more people, and the passenger traffic at Kazan International Airport is growing steadily.
