Rustam Minnikhanov meets members of Russian State Duma from Tatarstan

On 18 July, speaking at his meeting with Russian Senators and members of the Russian State Duma from Tatarstan held in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Chairman of the State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the senators and members for the work they are doing. In particular he emphasized their contribution into taking decisions important for the republic, the development of the new Special Economic Zone (SEZ) “The Green Valley” in Zainsk region of the republic, facilitation of implementation of infrastructural projects in Mendeleevsk and attraction of federal money by the 1119 programme.

The Rais of the republic stated that this meeting takes place under conditions of the special military operation (SMO) and a new round of international tension which demands coordination of actions for implementation of the plans made, national projects and state programmes as well as fulfillment of social liabilities.

“Our task is to ensure maximum support to the soldiers, on whom the safety of citizens and the future of the country depend today. From the first days of the SMO the support of families of soldiers, the scope of which grows every year, is our priority,” he said.

Rustam Minnikhanov also attracted attention to the fact that the main mission of the people’s deputies is a constant interaction with residents, solution of their problems and quick response to their appeals. “It is necessary to study the situation on the site, to fulfill requests of voters and have a feedback. Any issue from everyday life difficulties to systemic problems requires attention and clear actions,” he said and added: “Only through a direct dialogue with people is it possible to understand their real needs. All our efforts should be aimed just at one thing – wellbeing of Tatarstan and its residents.”

In his turn Farid Mukhametshin stated that due to well-coordinated actions of all power bodies under today’s difficult conditions the economy of the republic demonstrates positive tendencies.

There are 18 working groups working in the republic, each of which is headed by a supervising senator. Their main spheres of activity are attraction of federal money to the economy of Tatarstan through participation in national projects and state programmes, promotion of legislative initiatives of the republic and fulfillment of requests of citizens.
