Rustam Minnikhanov gets acquainted with the progress of work on the restoration of the complex of buildings of the Kazan Virgin Monastery

On July 15, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the progress of work on the restoration of the complex of buildings of the Kazan Virgin Monastery.

Four years ago, the restored Cathedral of the Icon of the Kazan Virgin was opened and further restoration of the monastery complex is carried out under the instructions of the Rais of Tatarstan. Today, the work is underway in the Church of St. Nicholas of Tula, the prior's housing, the Convent for Nuns and the Parish School. The Rais of Tatarstan looked around the restored buildings, where the construction work started in 2024. He was informed that work has now been completed on the reinforcement of the soil and foundations, restoration of the brick walls, reconstruction of the interfloor ceilings and internal partitions.

The builders recreated the facade group of the church of Nikola Tulsky, installed the dome and erected a cross. Finishing work on the facades of the buildings and the installation of the roof have been carried out.
