Rustam Minnikhanov visits an Islamic spiritual and education center and an Orthodox gymnasium under construction in Naberezhnyye Chelny

On 14 July during his working trip to Naberezhnyye Chelny the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the progress of construction of the Islamic spiritual and educational center which comprises a mosque which can accommodate up to 4 thousand believers and a muhhtasib’s building. 

The main construction work began in 2017 and currently work on the external cladding of the mosque's facade continues.

After Rustam Minnikhanov talked to builders of the complex, he gave an errand to support the construction completion.

Later the same day the Rais of the republic visited an Orthodox gymnasium under construction on the territory of the parish of "Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious". The founder of the educational organization is the Kazan Diocese of the Tatarstan Metropolitanate of the Russian Orthodox Church and the gymnasium will work in the full-day mode teaching two subjects – the God’s Law and History and the Church Slavonic language.

The project is being implemented in three stages – the four-storey main building, the gym and the third building with a ceremonial hall for 600 seats. 

Rustam Minnikhanov gave the builders an errand to complete the first stage by 1 September so that the gymnasium can start its operation already in the coming school year.
