Rustam Minnikhanov: Multi-ethnic Tatarstan deservedly is proud of its achievements in the sphere of supporting families and childhood

On 8 July in his address dedicated to the Day of the Family, Love and Fidelity, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated residents of the republic with the event and said: “This kind holiday based on a heart-melting story of love of spouses Petr and Fevronia has long gone beyond the being a religious and turned into a country-wide event uniting representatives of various ethnicities and religions.

The family, love, fidelity and desire to make your family larger are those unshakable spiritual values and moral guides which are equally dear to each man no matter what his origin or commitments are. They shape the foundation of a stable society and are passed from a generation to a generation.

Under difficult conditions of the modern development of the world civilization the family is our main backbone as it is in the family that the basics of succession of generations, civics and love to the Motherland are formed. This has a special meaning in the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland and the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII).

As the Russian President Vladimir Putin has emphasized in one of his speeches, our country is “the family of families”.

Multi-ethnic Tatarstan deservedly is proud of its achievements in the sphere of supporting families and childhood. We consistently implement comprehensive programmes aimed at creation of favourable conditions for families with children, development of infrastructure, housing improvements, at supporting families with many children and young marrieds, children, youth and veterans organizations.”
