Rustam Minnikhanov is on a working trip in Turkey

On 1 July the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a working trip to Turkey, had business meetings with the Chairman of the Commission for Industry, Trade Energy, Natural Resources, information and technologies of the Grand National Assembly Of Turkey Mustafa Varank and the Deputy chairman of the Turkey's Justice and Development Party, the member of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-the Islamic world” Nihat Zeybekci. 

Speaking at the meeting, the Rais of the republic stated that participation of a Turkish representative in the Group gives an impetus to strengthening bonds between Muslim countries, especially taking into consideration the significant weight of Turkey in the Islamic world.

He also emphasized that under the current geopolitical tension Tatarstan attaches special attention to further development of trade and economic relations with Turkey. 

Participants of the meeting discussed large joint projects being implemented by companies both in Tatarstan and Turkey.
