Rais of Tatarstan: VK is one of the leaders of IT industry

On 19 June, speaking at his meeting with the Director General of the VK (In Contact) Company Vladimir Kirienko on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized:”One of important spheres today is introduction of domestic digital solutions, including those in state and municipal power bodies. Today we are preparing the replacement of a foreign mail server by our domestic solution. And it is very important to set up an interaction with IT industry leaders and the VK Company is one of them.” 

In his turn Vladimir Kirienko stated that today Tatarstan is among the leading regions in the development of digital solution. “I would like to thank you for your support and invite you to the VK-fest which will be held in Kazan,” he said. 

The parties of the meeting discussed an opportunity of implementing the domestic mail server for public servants, organization of pilot projects on data storage and processing and scaling up best practices for automation of personnel electronic document management. 

The VK is the largest technological company in the number of its users in Russia which unites social media, communication services, computer games, education and a lot of other activities. It develops more 200 products and services used by more than 95 per cent of the RUNET users and develops solutions for business digitalization.
