Rustam Minnikhanov meets Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan Cabinet of Minister Nokerguly Atagulyev on the sidelines of SPIEF 2025

On 18 June, speaking at his meeting with the  Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan Cabinet of Minister Nokerguly Atagulyev on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov   expressed his gratitude to the National Leader of Turkmen People, the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow for his attention to the development of ties between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan within the framework of Russia-Turkmenistan relations.

He emphasized that their brotherly people are connected by deep historical bonds and fruitful trade and economic relations. 

A number of enterprises such as the KAMAZ, Kazan Helicopter Plant, KER-holding and the Eidos from the republic have been successfully working in Turkmenistan for many years and according to the results of last year the trade turnover between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan exceeded 39m dollars US. 

“It is necessary to give greater dynamics to our economic interaction. There is a considerable potential for developing ties in such areas as oil exploration, gas transportation, car-, aircraft- and shipbuilding, and the supply of chemical products,” Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized and added that the development of interaction of their republics in the spheres of culture science and education is also very important.
