Development projects of historical parts of Kazan and Sviyazhsk approved at a meeting on the interdepartmental urban development commission

On 9 June at its meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minikhanov in the Government House of the republic, the interdepartmental commission for urban development in historic settlements considered development sites in the historical part on Kazan and at the town-island of Sviyazhsk.

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov stated that it is the first meeting of the commission members in the current year and said: “We are going to consider new construction sites planned in Kazan and Sviyazhsk. It is important that the projects we are going to approve ensure preservation of the cultural heritage sites, valuable environmental sites and do not deteriorate the established appearance of the areas.”

After the Chief Architect of Kazan Ilsiyar Tukhvatullina made a presentation of projects in Kazan, the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of Zelenodolsk municipality Damir Shakirov told about three more projects to be implemented in Sviyazhsk. All projects were approved by the commission taking into consideration the condition of using quality materials for construction.

In the end of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov told that the projects in the development in the center of Chistopol submitted for consideration to the Committee need some additional work and gave an errand to the Head of Chistopol municipality Dmitriy Ivanov and the Rector of the State Civil Engineering University Rashit Nizamov to finalize them together.
