Address from Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on the occasion of the celebrations of the Russian Language Day and 226th birthday of Aleksandr Pushkin

On 6 June in his address on the occasion of the celebrations of the Russian Language Day and 226th birthday of Aleksandr Pushkin, the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated residents of the republic with the event and said: “The richest Russian language is the soul of people. It is a unique connecting link between generations and a universal language of mutual understanding of all peoples of our vast country.

In this day the whole Russia pays respect to the genius whose work has become a symbol of Russian literature – Aleksandr Pushkin. We bow before his talent, his ability to see and feel the world in its entirety, to convey the multifaceted nature of human life in words that sound as relevant today as they did two centuries ago.

Pushkin is a national treasure, the pride of Russia and of all mankind. His works are a reflection of deep history and centuries-old traditions. He teaches us to love and appreciate the Russian language, to see it as a treasure trove of folk wisdom and a source of inspiration.

Let the experience and knowledge accumulated by generations of people over the centuries, lines from immortal works in the Russian language continue to glorify our Fatherland and the strength of its multinational people.”

In conclusion Rustam Minnikhanov wished everyone happiness, inspiration, all the good and prosperity.
