Rustam Minnikhanov takes to farmers of Buinsk municipality

On 25 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the regional Minister of agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov and the Head of Buinsk municipality Ranis Kamartdinov went on a working trip to Buinsk region of the republic.

Right upon his arrival, the Rais of the republic had a meeting with heads of the farms, investors and the administration of rural settlements where he was told about the social and economic situation and the facilities under construction in the region by Tatarstan programmes. He was also informed about the completed sowing campaign and the situation with the winter crops.

Rustam Minnikhanov attracted attention to the fact that there is insufficient decrease in the cattle breeding and said it is important to ramp up work in this sphere to prevent such things in the future.

He was informed that in the nearest future farmers from Buinsk region will take part in  a large meeting on the issues of the development and support homestead farms in the neighboring municipality and asked Rustam Minnikhanov to consider a possibility to pass a support programme for those who grow vegetables as greenhouse construction materials are rather expensive. The Rais of the republic supported this initiative and gave an errand to the Ministry of Agriculture to develop their proposals.

Later the same day Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the work of the Davletshins fruit and berries homestead farm where the family grows apples using modern technologies, drip watering and strict adherence to landing rules. Last year the yield of the farm was 274 tonnes of apples.
