Rais of Tatarstan meets farmers of Kaybitzkiy region

On 25 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov went on a working trip to Kaybitzkiy region of the republic where he got acquainted with the current situation in the fields where the spring field work started in the end of March with the sown area of 36 thousand hectares.

The region was one of the first to complete the sowing campaign and currently active fodder conservation is under way, and, according to the region administration, the aim is to complete the first hay cutting by Sabantuy holiday. 

Near the Settlement of Ulyankovo the Rais of the republic had a traditional meeting with heads of the farms, investors and the administration of rural settlements where he attracted special attention to the issues of the development of homestead farms. Currently these farms have 1 500 heads of cattle and Rustam Minnikhanov said that it is necessary to actively incentivize the population to increase this number. He also announced about the preparation of a similar programme for horse breeding. 

Later the same day the Rais of the republic visited the August Agro cattle breeding complex with the capacity of its first stage 3 700 milking cows to be increased to the full amount of 4 460 cows by the first quarter of 2026.
