Rustam Minnikhanov: Cooperation with AAOIFI is extremely important and valuable for Tatarstan

On 16 May, speaking at his meeting with the Chairman of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Finance Institutions (AAOIFI)  Board of Trustees H.E. Shaikh Ebrahim Bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa on the sidelines of the XVI International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum-2025” held at the Kazan Exhibition Center, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov  emphasized that the AAOIFI is the traditional participant of the forum which this year for the first time has organized an offside international conference on partnership financing.

“Tatarstan is one of four regions for introducing principles of Islamic banking and financing in Russia and that is why cooperation with AAOIFI is exceptionally important and valuable for us “’ he said.

The Rais of the republic told that the republic successfully organizes events in raising the financial literacy of the population in partnership finances, trains specialists and expands the financial infrastructure. The next important step in this work is shaping the organized capital market, he said and concluded: “We are grateful for your support. You are always welcome in Tatarstan.”

In his turn Ebrahim Bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa thanked for having invited him to the Kazan forum and the AAOIFI conference. “It is a good opportunity for our organization to demonstrate our developments and standards, to open the Russian market for us through Tatarstan where you are highly motivated to develop the Islamic finances,” Chairman of the AAOIFI Board of Trustees said.
