Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan is interested in development of mutually beneficial cooperation with the UAE

On 14 May, speaking at his meeting with the Deputy Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates Abdullah Al-Saleh, who came to Kazan to take part in the XVI International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, in the Government house of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is interested in development of mutually beneficial cooperation with the UAE.

He stated the dynamically developing bonds between the republic and the UAE within the framework of Russia-Emirates relations and reminded that in April he visited the International Investments Forum in Abu Dhabi and thanked the Emirate colleagues for their hospitality and help in the work of a delegation from Tatarstan.

The Rais of the republic emphasized that the visit of the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the BRICS Summit in Kazan was a great honor for Tatarstan and said: “We always enjoy his support of our interaction and implementation of joint projects”.

He emphasized that at its level the republic takes an active part in the development of cooperation between Russia and UAE, and Kazan has direct flights to the Emirates cities. 

Participants of the meeting also discussed issues of expanding the range and scope of mutual trade, the exchange of experience in the spheres of investments, Islamic banking and Halal industry.
