Rustam Minnikhanov gets acquainted with sowing campaign progress in Zelenodolsk region

On 11 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov and the Head of Zelenodolsk region Mikhail Afanasyev went on a working trip to the region where he got acquainted with the current progress of the sowing campaign. 

At the cattle breeding farm Azeleevo of the KV Agro Agribusiness Company the Rais of the republic had a meeting with heads of farms and rural settlements, where the head of the region informed him that 9 672 winter crops, including 9 215 winter wheat have been sown for the future yield of 2025.

Mikhail Afanasyev also told that the sowing of summer cultures has been completed on the area of nearly 9 thousand hectares, with the forage cultures being sown at the current time.

He informed that there are 12 418 heads of cattle, including 4 681 cows in the region, that has produced 10 537 tonnes of milk and 11 626 tonnes of meet in the first four months of the current year.

In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov stated that the agribusiness of Zelenodosk region is making a substantial contribution into the development of agriculture in the republic and called upon to ramp up the use of incentives for developing small farms. 

Later the same day the Rais of the republic got acquainted with operation of the Azeleevo cattle breeding farm which has 4 885 heads of cattle including 2 402 milking cow and has produced 5 416 tonnes of milk since the beginning of the current year.
