Rais of Tatarstan: All our public spaces and yards must be used and hold interesting events

On 10 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Zinnatullina informed about 25 per cent of work completed in repairing roads and installing lighting by the regional Our Yard programme and the amount of children’s and sports equipment stored at warehouses of the republic which will be later installed in Kazan, Naberezhnyye Chelny and Nizhmekamsk regions.

She also told about working with complaints from residents and carrying out checks of maintenance of yards which already underwent improvement earlier.

Nailya Zinnatullina also announced the launch of a public competition of yard events “Kurshe Fest” where its participants can win a grant of up to 500thousand rubles and use the money for organizing interesting and important events in their yards or public places.

In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov said: “For 10 years we have improved 421 public spaces and since 2020 improved 5 171 yards. This year the plan is to improve 678 yards and we are doing this so that these places make life of our residents comfortable and with high quality. These sites must have life and have interesting events. The local administration must ramp up its work in this sphere.”
