Rustam Minnikhanov and a delegation from Gagausia discuss issues of developing cooperation

On 9 May at their meeting in Kazan the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and a delegation of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia (Moldova) - the Deputy Chairman of the Gagauzia Executive Committee Viktor Petrov and the member of Moldova Parliament Aleksandr Sukhodoskiy who came to Kazan to take part in celebrations of the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) - discussed strengthening their cooperation in various spheres. 

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized the importance of further exchange of delegations and the development of cultural bonds. Currently there are agreements signed by the two republics and their Chambers of Commerce, and Nurlat and Cadyr-Lunga are twin cities, while Buinsk and Oknitsk regions are twin regions. 

The parties also discussed the development of trade and economic ties, interaction in agribusiness, IT, medicine, pharmaceuticals and other spheres.

“We hope that friendly relations with our Gagauz-brothers will only become stronger,” Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.
