Rustam Minnikhanov visits a courtyard area in Kazan, improved under the “Our Yard” programme

On May 7, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited a courtyard area in the Privolzhsky district of Kazan improved under the "Our Yard" programme, and laid flowers at the stele "The streets of Kazan are named after them", and talked to WWII veterans. The improved area unites the courtyard space of four apartment buildings on the streets Ippodromnaya, Kachalova, Spartakovskaya streets. New pedestrian paths, a playground for children with disabilities and street lighting appeared here. This is the first courtyard area to be completely improved in 2025.

In one of the houses there is an inclusive center "Tylsym" ("Magic"). The centre initiated a festive programme dedicated to the Victory Day: children read poems, songs from the war years were played, an exhibition of creative works by children with disabilities was organized.

Now in the courtyard, pedestrian walkways and driveways have been improved, an outdoor lighting system has been installed (18 new supports), a children’s playground and a sports ground have been equipped. In addition, 64 parking spaces have been created.

Rustam Minnikhanov and the mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin talked with local residents, as well as with the parents of children who visit the Tylsym centre. The Rais of Tatarstan, People’s Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Irek Boguslavsky, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and other guests laid flowers at the stele “The streets of Kazan are named after them”.
