Rustam Minnikhanov visits Novosheshminsk region

On 6 April the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov came on a working trip to Novosheshminsk region of the republic where he got acquainted with the current sowing work progress and the development of agriculture in the whole. 

Upon his arrival Rustam Minnikhanov went to the Tatar Stud Farm 57 in the Settlement of Sloboda Petropavlovskaya which currently has 228 horses of various breeds the Orlov being in most demand. The farm is well-known beyond Russia as it supplies horses to the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's cavalry regiment.

At his meeting with farmers and heads of rural settlements Rustam Minnikhanov was informed about the sowing progress and the situation with seeds and agricultural machinery. 

Thus he was told that about 50 per cent of tractors and trucks are operated beyond their depreciation periods and the region actively replaces its vehicles pool having purchased 46 units in 2024 and 25 units more since the beginning of the current year

Speaking at the meeting the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov stated that one of the main tasks of the region is to preserve and increase the number of cattle by using the agriculture state support programmes. 

In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the farmers for their daily hard work and gave high assessment to the local stud farm, having asked the Ministry of Agriculture to provide active help to the enterprise. 

In conclusion the Rais of the republic gave an errand to heads of settlements to pay high attention to celebrations of the V-day. “Special attention should be given to every WWII veteran, participants of the special military operation and their near ones,” he reminded.
