Rustam Minnikhanov visits Baltasi region

On 5 April the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov and the Head of the Baltasi region of the republic Ramil Nutfullin, came on a working trip to the region, where he inspected the region’s fields from a helicopter and was reported on the progress of sowing work. 

Upon his arrival the Rais of the republic had a meeting with heads of farms, investors and heads of settlements where he was informed about the progress of sowing work which was by 50 per cent completed. 

Ramil Nutfullin said that in the last five years the region put into operation 11 dairy complexes with 9 600 milking cows and continues the construction of four more dairy facilities. He also informed that the total number of cattle in the region makes 59 600 heads including 9 600 milking cows and the regional gross milk production is 420 tonns a day.

The regional Minister gave high assessment to the region but also called to ramp up work for increasing the number of household farms. 

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the farmers for their good work having emphasized that the region has always shown decent results in all spheres. He also asked the heads to organize properly all events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the WWII. 

The Rais of the republic also visited the Tatarstan agribusiness company dairy complex which employs 185 people and last year produced 17 100 tonnes of milk and 787 200 tonnes of meat.
