Rustam Minnikhanov and Mintimer Shaimiev lay flowers to Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay in Kazan

On 26 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the State Counselor of the Republic Mintimer Shaimiev, the Chairman of the regional State Council Farid Mukhametshin, the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais of the republic Asgat Safarov and other officials took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument to the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay in Kazan.

The ceremony is dedicated to the Mother Tongue Day and the 139th birthday of the poet and later today in the Kamal Tatar Theatre Rustam Minnikhanov is having a meeting with representatives of Tatar theatre intelligentsia and handing them in state awards of the republic.
