Rustam Minnikhanov meets Chairwoman of Russian Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova

On 15 April at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Chairwoman of Russian Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova discussed such topics as the work of the election system at the regional and municipal levels and exercising electoral rights of citizens. The parties also discussed the experience of the republic using its electoral system as an example.

Ella Pamfilova came to Kazan to take part in the All-Russia workshop on information support of elections and, speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked her for having chosen Kazan as a venue for the event. He also told about most important projects implemented in the region, in particular about the new building of the Kamal Tatar Theatre on the bank of Lake Kaban in Kazan.

In the end of the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov handed in Ella Pamfilova a state award of Tatarstan – the Order Duslyk (Friendship) for her substantial contribution into the development of the electoral system of the republic.

The Chief of the Staff of the Office of the Rais of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Regulations and Organization of Parliamentary Activities of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Aleksandr Terentyev and the Chairman of Tatarstan Central Election Committee Andrey Kondratyev also took part in the meeting.
