Rustam Minnikhanov about improved yards maintenance: We need to work harder in this direction

On 12 April, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to heads of municipalities to take the maintenance of improved yards under their stricter control.

Before this the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities: Nailya Zinnatullina informed that the preparation of yards to the construction season has been completed and today their residents will be shown resulting schemes of yards improvement according to the Our Yard programme.

She informed about work being done in road construction, installation of street lighting and the stock of children’s sports and outdoor equipment.

Nailya Zinnatullina told that since the beginning of the construction season the number of residents’ complaints grew with 756 of them coming only in the last month and informed that Tatarstan State Housing Inspection has started checks of yards improved in previous years.

In his turn the Head of the Inspection Aleksandr Tygin informed that his institution is monitoring condition of about 5 thousand improved yards  and said :”The inspection will take the toughest actions in case of any violations. Last year we only informed about violations while this year there will be fines.”

In his remarks Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Every year we allocate 10bn rubles on the Our Yard programme. And the condition of yards sports and children’s grounds and how they are used should be controlled as this infrastructure is very important and needed to people. The heads (of municipalities) should closely control their maintenance as the money used for this purpose is not that much. We need to work harder in this direction.”
