On 10 April, speaking at a ceremony of opening the XIX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center on 9-11 April with the Russian Minister Valeriy Falkov, the Managing Director of the Russian Association of Venture Investments Albina Nikkonen and other high rank officials, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the Russian Venture Forum is an efficient platform for exchanging the gained experience and best practices, achieving agreements with business partners on implementation of joint projects and for giving an impetus to the development of domestic innovational system.
He reminded that for two years Valeiry Falkov has been the head of the forum organization committee which facilitates the quick expansion of the scale and geography of its participants.
The Rais of the republic also stated that in the period of unprecedented technological and geopolitical transformations the global competitiveness directly depends on ability to generate scientific and technological developments and to introduce them into economy. “In this regard the forum has especially focused on its exhibition which, without any exaggeration, makes it possible to have a look into the future, “ he concluded and wished everyone fruitful work, new ideas and solutions and successful establishment of partnership bonds.
In his turn Valeriy Falkov said: “The President of the country has put forward a task of achieving the technological leadership which requires maximum concentration of our efforts. And that is why the existence of such a platform is very important.”
“I am sure that at the forum we will not only be able to discuss trends and challenges the Russian venture industry faces but also to find efficient solutions for the development of technological entrepreneurship and startup-ecosystems,” Albina Nikkonnen said in conclusion.
Then the guests accompanied by the Director of the Tatarstan Venture Investments Fund Damir Galeev looked round the exhibition which demonstrated the 150 most successful startups, including those 15 from friendly countries.
