Rustam Minnikhanov gives an errand to ensure having the sowing campaign on a tight schedule and with high quality

On 5 April, speaking at a meeting held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov informed that due to weather conditions agricultural enterprises have begun the spring field work earlier than usual.

He reminded that farmers are fertilizing winter crops which grow on 482 thousand hectares and perennial grass covering 368 thousand hectares.

“Regions have started their dragging and in the nearest future will start sowing summer crops on the area of 1m 630 thousand hectares,” Rustam Minnikhanov said and added that there are all necessary resources for the sowing campaign.

He also said that there are no any problems with seeds and the agricultural machinery is also ready for spring work.

Rustam Minnikhanov informed that 3.2bn rubles of the state support will be allocated to farms by the end of April and said: “This money should be spent on mineral fertilizers, growing potatoes and vegetables and support of cattle-breeding and dairy farms.”

The Rais of Tatarstan gave an errand to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, heads of regions and administrations of agribusiness enterprises and small farms to ensure having the sowing campaign on a tight schedule and with high quality and to foresee a handsome wages and  all necessary conditions for all those involved in spring field work.

In his speech, Rustam Minnikhanov reminded about the Tatarstan energy Forum Energoporm held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center on 2-4 April and stated the high level of its organization, especially mentioning an exposition dedicated to work of power industry employees during the WWII.
