Rais of Tatarstan arrives to Tajikistan

On 2 April late at night the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov arrived to Dushanbe – the capital of Tajikistan, where he plans to meet the leadership of the country, to have negotiations with the Administration of the Sughd region and to take part in the Tajikistan-Tatarstan business forum in Khujand.

A delegation of business circles of the republic arrived to Dushanbe on 1 April and already had negotiations in the Ministry of New Technologies and Industry of Tajikistan and had a meeting in the Russian Trade Representative Office where they were told about possible spheres of cooperation.

Khujand founded about 2 500 years ago is the second largest city of Tajikistan and currently is an important industrial, scientific and cultural center located not far from today’s borders with Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

In fact the Tatarstan delegation headed by Rustam Minnikhanov is the first guest paying a business visit to this region after the final establishment and documentary enforcement of peace in Ferghana Valley and this visit has an important foreign political and economic meaning in strengthening of cooperation of Russia with Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
