On 2 April the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Minister of Energetics Sergey Tsivilev and the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan Daler Juma took part in a ceremony of opening Tatarstan Energy Forum Energoprom at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center.
Representatives of a number of Ministries of the CIS countries became guests of the Forum held on 2-4 April 2025 and organized with the support of the Russian Ministry of Energy, Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and partner companies.
Speaking at the ceremony, Sergey Tsivilev said that currently electricity is in great demand in Russia and there is a substantial growth of electricity consumption. “It is the most important challenge which we must answer in the nearest future. We understand how important it is for the future of the country,” he emphasized.
He also informed about the Master Scheme for the development of power industry facilities by 2042 developed by Russian specialists and expressed his hope that the Energoprom Forum will become the leading one in the power industry.
In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov thanked everyone who came to Kazan to take part in the forum and said: “We understand that any economy does not have any prospects without power industry. The forum has become a good platform for inviting scientists, heads of leading power companies and foreign partners.”
He also stated that the forum is held in the year of the 80th anniversary of the great Victory and said: “Today we must thank old stagers for those war years when power industry ensured the victory of the country.” In conclusion he wished participants of the forum fruitful and efficient work.
In his welcoming speech, Daler Juma reminded that there are friendly relations established between Tajikistan President Emomali Rakhmon and Russian President Vladimir Putin as well as the warm bonds with the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
“The Forum is not only the platform for discussing important issues of power industry but also an important stage of shaping a fresh approach to the future of power technologies and sustainable development and innovations,” he said.
After having listened to video welcoming speeches from the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin, the Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin and the Chairman of the Federation Council Commission for Economic Policy Andrey Kutepov, Rustam Minnikhanov, Sergey Tsivilev and other guests got acquainted with the “KazanEnergyExpo” exhibition organized with participation of more than 90 power companies from 17 regions of Russia and some foreign countries.
