Rustam Minnikhanov and Igor Levitin hand in awards at a ceremony of closing the International Competition in table Tennis and XXIII open individual and team regional table tennis competitions

On 30 March the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhabnov and the Counselor of Russian President Igor Levitin accompanied  by the Minister of Sports of the republic Vladimir Leonov, the regional Minister of Contraction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin, the Minister of Forestry of the republic Ravil Kuzyurov and the President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Rifkat Minnikhanov took part  in a ceremony of closing the International Competition in table Tennis and XXIII open individual and team regional table tennis competitions  held at the SABA-ARENA sports complex in the settlement of Bogatyye Saby.
The annual competitions, which are included into the official calendar of Russian Ministry of Sports, are held on 28-30 March 2025 in memory of the Honorary Forestry Specialist Nurgali Minnikhanov and in the current year it hosted more than 250 athletes from Russia, Belarus, Iran, China, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Igor Levitin thanked Tatarstan and Russian Table Tennis Federation and reminded that five more table tennis sports centers were opened in the republic today. 
In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov said that the republic will be always happy to host athletes of this tournament and added: “It started 23 years ago and today it is already an international competition. I would also like to thank organizers of the event, the administration of Saby region and all fans and participants of competitions. You are great and I wish you big sports achievements.” 
Later the same day Rustam Minnikhanov also visited the grave of his father Nurgali Minnikhanov in the settlement of Leskhoz in the region.
