On November 8 during his working trip to Rostov region Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Taganrog Metallurgical Plant and Beriev Aircraft Company.

To the point, Taganrog Metallurgical Plant is one of the largest pipe-making enterprises in Russia with nearly a 120-year history. Today, the plant produces seamless steel pipes, drill pipes, pump-compressor pipes and pipes for repair of wells.

Tatarstan President and members of Tatarstan delegation visited steel and tube rolling workshops and saw German rolling mill in operation. About 2 mln tons of pipes have been produced using this modern mill for 5 years.

Beriev Aircraft Company is famous for its amphibian aircrafts and long-range radar detection aircraft A-50. At the design bureau Rustam Minnikhanov tested a flight stimulator for training pilots and got acquainted with the virtual cabin design complex. The workshop for production and maintenance of aircrafts Be-200 was presented to Tatarstan delegation. Tatarstan President also looked around this unique amphibian aircraft under construction.
