Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a traditional charity project of “The Ramadan Tent” in Moscow

On 18 March in the evening the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin and the Chairman of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia Ravil Gaynutdin   took part in a traditional charity project of “The Ramadan Tent “in Moscow which is organized annually by the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Moscow with the support of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia and the Government of Moscow by the Memorial Mosque on Poklonnaya Gora.
This year the cultural and educational programme of the Ramadan Tent is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in WWII and has been organized under the slogan “Memory is stronger than time”.
Speaking at the event, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Ramadan is a month of good deeds and laver uniting people of various nationalities and teaching us mercy and compassion,” and reminded that in the current year the programme of the Tent is dedicated to the memory of heroes of the Fatherland and the 80th anniversary of the Victory in WWII.  “May in this holy month of Ramadan our prayers about the soon victory, health of the wounded and the eternal rest of the fallen be heard,” he said and expressed his special gratitude to those who provide humanitarian aid to participants of the special military operation (SMO).

The Rais of Tatarstan reminded about international events hosted by the republic last year and to be hosted in the current one and informed that Kazan has been vested a great honor to be the cultural capital of the Islamic world in 2026.

In his turn Marat Khusnullin said that Muslims together with other ethnicities of Russia demonstrate courage and selflessness at the SMO, making a priceless contribution into the common case. ”Their heroism and dedication are a bright and indestructible unity and moral courage,” he said and stated that “Ramadan is the month of the Lent and laver which has gathered everyone to share pleasure of communication, to strengthen our brotherhood and to immerse ourselves in absolute bliss of Ramadan.”
