On 18 March in his address on the occasion of the reunification of the Crimea with Russia, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated residents of the republic with the event and said: “It has been eleven years since at the All-Crimea referendum the residents of the peninsular made their choice for reunification of the Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol with Russia. This opened a new page in the centuries long chronicles of the Black Sea territories. Courage and faith, dedication to the memory of heroic ancestors and love to our common Fatherland are the moving forces which helped Crimea residents to meet a challenge of that difficult period. “The Crimea Spring” of 2014 has become the most important milestone in history of modern Russia.
Today’s agenda is facing new serious tasks. Hard working nature, creative capacity and patriotism of residents of the peninsular are aimed at opposing outside hazards, defense of the native land, implementation of national development goals and promising plans of modernization of regional economy, carrying out social reforms and raising the life quality. Multi-ethnic Tatarstan like many other regions of Russia is providing a substantial help in these issues. I am sure friendly multilateral cooperation of our brotherly people based on common historical heritage and spiritual values and cultural traditions will continue developing in trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural spheres.
Having united around our national leader Russian President Vladimir Putin, our people act together in striving for protecting interests and independence of Russia and doing everything to get the world rid of Neo-Nazism.”
In conclusion the Rais of the republic wished everyone good health, peace and happiness.
