Russian President Vladimir Putin meets the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov

On March 3, at their meeting in the Kremlin in Moscow, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov informed Russian President Vladimir Putin about the region's economic development.

Minnikhanov started speaking on special military operation and said that the republic is fulfilling all tasks assigned to it in support of soldiers and their families. Thousands of Tatarstan residents serve with honor in the Special military operation zone.

There is a lot of work on humanitarian assistance, namely, 4,389 tonnes of useful cargo have already been formed and sent. As many as 2 billion 614 million roubles have already been allocated for the reconstruction of the small towns of Lisichansk and Rubezhnoye.

The Rais of the republic emphasized that Tatarstan is a large industrial region: "Tatarstan produces 24% of polyethylene, 41% of rubber, 61% of truck tires, 30% of trucks and 7% of oil production of the total volume of the country”. Putin said that the share of non-resource exports in the total export volume has almost doubled. Rustam Minnikhanov reported that the GRP amounted to 5 trillion 200 billion roubles in 2024. In terms of industrial output, the republic reached 5 trillion 651 billion. Investments in fixed assets reached 1 trillion 435 billion. In agriculture, growth makes 10%, and in construction it is 17%. As many as 24.3 million tonnes of oil are processed at our own facilities, the refining depth is 99.4-99.5%.

The enterprises of the SIBUR group (Nizhnekamskneftekhim and Kazanorgsintez), the Ammonium, KAMAZ, Sollers, and Haier companies are actively working. Major modernization is being carried out at the Kazan Aviation Plant and the Kazan Helicopter Plant. The republic is traditionally among the leaders in agriculture. Tatarstan ranks first in the country in milk production, second - in potato harvesting, and seventh - in sugar beet. There are 3,500 IT companies in the republic, their revenue reaches 225 billion rubles. About 42 thousand people are employed in the industry. The infrastructure of industrial parks demonstrates good economic indicators. The revenue of Alabuga Special Economic Zone makes 238 billion, KIP Master - 202 billion and Khimgrad - 96 billion.

In Tatarstan 200 billion roubles were allocated for road construction.

At the end of the meeting, Vladimir Putin highly appreciated the achievements of the republic. «Tatarstan is an industrialized region of the country, it is developing rapidly», Russian President stressed.
