Asgat Safarov takes part in an expanded meeting of the Council of Islamic Education of Russia

On 20 February the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, the Mufti of the republic Kamil Samigullin, the Head of the Council of Islamic Education of Russia, the Rector of the Russian Islamic University Rafik Mukhametshin and other officials took part in an expanded meeting of the Council of Islamic Education of Russia held at the Russian Islamic Institute in Kazan. 

Participants of the meeting discussed current achievements and experience as well as plans for the further development and improvement of the Russian Islamic education quality.

The keynote speaker Rafik Mukhametshin told the meeting about main principles and peculiarities of monitoring efficiency of Islamic universities in 2025, while the Deputy Rector of the Russian Islamic Institute Marat Gilmanov shared the results of the monitoring in 2024and discussed the improvement of the assessment system of Islamic educational institutions.

The Deputy Rector of Pyatigorsk State University Ibragim Ibragimov told about criteria and mechanisms of financing Islamic institutions from the Fund for support of Islamic culture, science and education in 2025.

In conclusions Rafik Mukhametshin presented the work plan for 2025 which includes organizing working groups and other activities for the development of Islamic education.
