Rustam Minnikhanov meets President of St Petersburg International Commodities Exchange

On 10 February during his working trip to Moscow, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the President of St Petersburg International Commodities Exchange Igor Artemyev, who told the Rais of the republic about key spheres of the exchange work and implementation of state tasks in shaping transparent price indictors in key branches of economy. 

During the meeting the parties stated that currently there are favourable preconditions for the development of efficient cooperation with the Islamic world countries and emphasized the importance of such cooperation including the development of exchange trade.

Rustam Minnikhanov and Igor Artemyev also discussed an errand from Russian President Vladimir Putin of the establishment of the BRICS Exchange, as it is Kazan which can become a key platform for interaction during the process of such establishment.  

In the end of the meeting the parties expressed their intention to strengthen cooperation and joint work in the development of commodities markets in Russia and international arena.
