Head of Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture and Food reports about introduction of digital technologies into agribusiness of the republic

On 25 January, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported about introduction of digital technologies into agribusiness of the republic.

He said that by the results of 2024 the republic became the leader in the ranking of the digital transformation of agribusiness and in the ranking of regions in agribusiness innovations.

Marat Zyabbarov also informed that the modernization of the State Information System of the Ministry carried out last year made it possible to increase the data collection efficiency three times, to provide closer control of using agricultural land and the raise the accuracy of finding non-used land plots with the help of AI algorithms.

In addition the Ministry organized digitalization trainings for heads and specialists of 97 agricultural organizations and farms and implemented pilot projects such as “Feeding Management System” and “Accounting System in Horticulture”, the milking control system and the animal condition analysis system  in a number of farms

The regional Minister said that in 2025 one of the key tasks is to establish one of the largest in the country network of meteorological stations for operational collection of weather data which will make it possible to minimize agricultural risks and to bring into operation the module of “The digital passport of an animal” which will collect more than 100 indicators about each animal.
