On 19 December, speaking at the XIX congress of the Association of the Tatarstan Council of Municipalities held at the Korston recreation Center in Kazan with participation of the Chairman of the regional State Council Farid Mukhametshin and the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has informed that the Government of the republic has taken a decision to launch a new programme of 10bn rubles modernization of the housing utilities sector infrastructure.
“The problems in the housing utilities sector are the most burning ones. The conditions of the branch facilities and engineering infrastructure need large-scale renovation measures. We together with the Government of the country are doing purposeful work on implementation of the new national project “The Infrastructure for life”, attaching special attention to renovation of the communal infrastructure and improvement of its services by building and reconstructing water supply and water treatment facilities,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
He stated that the implementation of the programme will be fulfilled due to infrastructural menu mechanisms and within the framework of federal programme for modernization of the communal infrastructure.
“We are planning to receive co-financing of 3.2bn rubles from the federal budget on implementation of the national project and additionally we launch the regional programme of communal infrastructure modernization with the supposed amount of financing of 10bn rubles. We think that the targeted measures will make it possible to solve the burning problems of municipalities in the housing utilities sector step by step,” the Rais of the republic added.
