Rais of Tatarstan and Hokim of Navoi region discuss construction of the industrial park in Navoi

On 18 December at their meeting in Navoi, the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came to Uzbekistan on a working trip,  and the Hokim of Navoi region Normat Tursunov discussed issues of construction of the special industrial park “ Navoi complex of development of Industry” at the Free Economic Zone (FEZ) in Navoi region.

Tatarstan helps Uzbekistan colleagues with its consultations on the park establishment and Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the project work progress as currently there is a construction of the first future park industrial shop with the total area of 40 thousand square meters.

At the meeting the Rais of Tatarstan reminded about the importance of implementation of the Navoi project in interests of inter-state cooperation and the interest Presidents of Russia and Uzbekistan attach to it. The parties also discussed issues of speeding up the construction of the industrial park facilities, provision of necessary communal infrastructure and training of specialists and recruiting blue-collar workers.

In conclusion of the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov invited the Hokim of Navoi region to visit Tatarstan together with a delegation of his colleagues in 2025 and to study the experience of the republic in the development of industrial parks and free economic zones.
