On 11 December during his working trip to Kuala Lumpur the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the International Youth Center of Malaysia, where he was shown working spaces, the exhibition of best practices of working with children and young people and got acquainted with activities of school diplomacy clubs of the country.
In the Center Rustam Minikhanov also had a meeting with leaders of youth amalgamations of the South-East Asia countries where they discussed cooperation with Tatarstan. “Your work is very important for shaping a healthy society based on traditional humanitarian values. It gains special importance under current conditions”, the Rais of the republic emphasized.
He stated that Russia creates all conditions for raising the growing generation on the basis of traditional family values and informed about the youth policy infrastructure in the republic, such as children’s summer camps, youth and teenagers clubs and the largest in the country extreme parks.
Rustam Minnikhanov said that Russia attaches great attention to integration with the youth from other countries, in particular to work with 20 countries within the framework of the project of school diplomacy clubs and to supporting youth interaction within OIC, BRICS, SCO and ASEAN organizations.
“It is important for us to exchange best practices in training specialists, raising the future generations and creation and supporting the best conditions for the comprehensive development of our young people,” he said.
In the end of his visit Rustam Minnikhanov took part in planting trees on the compound of the youth center.
