Rustam Minnikhanov hands in Tatarstan state award to athlete Abdulrashid Sadulayev

On 28 November during his working trip to Moscow the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the six-time world champion and two-time Olympic champion in free-style wrestling Abdulrashid Sadulayev .

Speaking at the meeting, the Rais of the republic congratulated the acknowledged athlete with his next victory in the world championship which was held in Albania in the end of October. He emphasized that the exemption from the Olympics did not break the athlete down and he once again confirmed his champion’s character.

Earlier the International Olympics Committee announced that Abdulrashid Sadulayev was exempted because he supported the special military operation and is an official member of the Dinamo society.

After his victory at the world championship, Russian President Vladimir Putin send him a congratulatory telegramme and in his turn today Rustam Minnikhanov handed him in the Tatarstan state award the Duslyk Order for his high achievements in physical culture and sports
