On November 28, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in the opening ceremony of the 31st International Congress of the Association of Hepatecropchatatonic Surgeons of the CIS countries "Current Issues of Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery" held in Korston recreation center in Kazan and dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding Russian and Soviet surgeon - Aleksander Vasilyevich Vishnevsky, who worked for many years in Kazan. The Congress is a leading platform for sharing best practices in hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, bringing together the most progressive experts and representatives of the medical community. Topics of the forum were innovative surgical techniques, modern approaches to diagnosis and treatment of abdominal diseases, prevention of post-operative complications.
Pesoshin welcomed the forum participants on behalf of the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and on his own behalf. He also thanked the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the organizing committee of the Congress for the decision to hold such an important event in Kazan. The Congress brought together high-level specialists from the regions of the Russian Federation and the CIS countries (Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus).
