On 27 November the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan RustamMinnikhanov, the Mayor of Naberezhnyye Chelny Nail Magdeev and the Director General of the KAMAZ Automaker Sergey Kogogin took part in a solemn ceremony of handing in 44 new Nefaz municipal buses to the city of Naberezhnyye Chelny. Each bus has a capacity of 44 passengers and has a high level of comfort and reliability.
Speaking at the ceremony Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that public transport has an important role in ensuring comfortable and safe public transportation. “We used to have problems with passenger transportation in Naberezhnyye Chelny. Today the issue is continuously solved. We express huge gratitude to the leadership of the country for supporting the renovation of the city public transport,” he said.
In his turn Nail Magdeev informed that this year the city has already received 90 new large capacity buses and “this is a good gift to Naberezhnyye Chelny on the eve of its 400th birthday.”
The new buses have been procured by the national project “Safe and quality roads” within the leasing programme of the State Transport Leasing Company and financed by the National Welfare Fund.
