On 26 November, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Transport and Road Economy Farit Khanifov informed that in the current year 83bn rubles will be allocated on road work in the republic, including 9bn from the federal budget and 1.5bn from the municipal road fund. The remaining money will be allocated from the regional budget, the regional Minister said.
He reminded about large infrastructural projects being implemented in Tatarstan, such as the bypass road of Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnyye Chelny, Alekseevskoye-Almetyevsk highway and the completion of the construction of the second section of Voznesenkiy Trakt and reconstruction of Gorky highway.
Farit Khanifov also told about large socially important regional projects under implementation and repairs of settlements street roads fulfilled by the national project “Safe and qualitative roads” with 8.3bn rubles allocated on it.
The Head of the Federal state enterprise “The Federal highways directorate of Volga-Vyatka region of the Federal Road Agency” Ildar Mingazov told journalists about the percentage of work completed in construction and reconstruction of main highways in the republic and the Deputy Chairman of the External Improvement Committee of Kazan Executive Committee Marsel Akhmetzyanov informed about work done and funds allocated on the development and repairs of street network and “Our Yard” programme in Kazan.
