Rustam Minnikhanov visits FAW Toyota Motor production site (Chengdu)

On 20 November during his working trip to China the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited FAW Toyota Motor (Chengdu) Co., Ltd production site.

The CHINA FAW GROUP CO., LTD («FAW GROUP») Corporation is the first car manufacturing company in China ranking second in its FAW cars production volume and the first in large trucks amount , employing 3 200 people and having the total area of 455 thousand square meters.

All in all the company manufacture 13 models of cars including three vehicles using new sources of energy.

During his visit Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the production process and the model range of the plant and was told about specificities of technology and other important issues. The plant also produces 100 thousand Toyota Avalon buses and 105 thousand Toyota Prado SUVs.
