Rustam Minnikhanov draws attention to the increasing frequency of fires with the onset of cold weather

On November 16, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the fires have increased with the onset of cold weather, especially in the private sector. With the onset of the heating season, fires in residential buildings have become more frequent in Tatarstan. Only in November, there were 121-recorded fires. Nine people died. This is mainly in the private sector, where eight people died.

The main causes of fire are careless handling of fire, violation of the rules for operating furnaces and electrical equipment. The Rais of the republic also drew attention to repeated cases of carbon monoxide and household gas poisoning - 32 poisonings and 2 deaths in 2024.

He urged to provide targeted social assistance to low-income citizens in the repair of stove heating and electrical wiring.
