The Rais of Tatarstan has a meeting with the delegation from Chinese city of Chongqing

On November 15, at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, on the sidelines of the II International Russia-China Cooperation Forum ROSTKI, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Deputy Secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Party Chen Min.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the delegation of Chongqing for participating in the forum. He emphasized that Tatarstan, as one of the leading Russian regions, is actively involved in developing relations between Russia and China. The republic signed 8 agreements with Chinese provinces, including with Chongqing in 2019.

Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan interacts with Chongqing under the Volga-Yangtze Cooperation Council. It organizes a number of diverse and multimedia events annually, which are aimed at expanding trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between our countries.

Zhang Ming highly appreciated the scale and level of organization of the ROSTKI Forum. He spoke about the industrial and economic potential of Chongqing, key industries. "Tatarstan and Chongqing have a long history of friendship. We are actively working under the "Volga-Yangtze" format, have a good basis for further development of cooperation.
