Rustam Minnikhanov meets Governor of Kirov region Aleksandr Sokolov

On 14 November at their meeting in Kazan on the sidelines of the II Russia-China Cooperation Forum ROSTKI the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Governor of Kirov region Aleksandr Sokolov discussed prospects of the development of inter-regional cooperation.

Speaking at the meeting, the Rais of the republic thanked Aleksandr Sokolov for taking part in the forum and congratulated with successful festive celebrations of the 650th birthday of the City of Kirov.

 Tatarstan and Kirov region have broad trade and economic relation, with Tatarstan delivering truck tyres, petrochemical products, synthetic rubber, nitrogen fertilizers, glass, wide range of food products, home appliances and other goods, while Kirov region brining timber, caustic soda, power cables and concrete produce. 

Dozens of enterprises of the republic develop industrial cooperation and trade connections with partners from Kirov region and about 1400 students from the region study at Tatarstan universities. 

At the meeting Aleksandr Sokolov handed in Rustam Minnikhanov a jubilee medal “In remembrance of 650th anniversary of the City of Kirov”.
