Rustam Minnikhanov at the awarding ceremony for contribution to the development of civil society institutions: Our society has demonstrated maturity and has become a real pillar of the state

On November 5, at the Kazan Kremlin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn ceremony and handed in the state awards to the most distinguished Tatarstan citizens - winners of the Award for contribution to the development of civil society institutions.

“I am glad to welcome in this hall the winners of the regional award for contribution to the development of civil society institutions. Traditionally, the awarding ceremony takes place on days of celebration of significant dates: yesterday we celebrated the National Unity Day, tomorrow - the day of adoption of the Constitution of Tatarstan,» Minnikhanov said.

The Rais of Tatarstan recalled that the prize for contribution to the development of civil society institutions in the republic has been awarded annually since 2015.

During the past decade, sometimes in the most difficult conditions our society has shown its maturity and became a real pillar of our state. It is encouraging that every year the number of organizations whose main activity is the development of charity and volunteering grows. Socially significant projects, changing life of our people for better, allowing to solve social problems and strengthening traditional spiritual and moral values, are implemented. Today we are awarding especially distinguished representatives of the social movement»,  Rustam Minnikhanov said in his opening speech.
