A briefing on property tax payments held at the Government House of Tatarstan

On November 5, the Government House of Tatarstan hosted a briefing with participation of the Head of the Federal Tax Service Department  in Tatarstan Marat Safiullin on payment of property taxes by individuals in 2024.

To date, 2 million 412 thousand notifications have been sent to residents of the republic, including 60 per cent of them in e-form to users of the Taxpayer's Personal Account and users of the State Services Portal. Over the year, the number of citizens wishing to receive tax notifications in e-form has increased by 46 per cent or 460 thousand people. The rest of the republic’s residents who prefer a paper version of the tax notification received them by registered mail. Marat Safiullin reminded that if citizens have questions related to tax calculation, they should contact the tax inspection at the location of the real estate.

This year, residents of the republic should pay property taxes amounting to 9.6 billion roubles, which is 500 million roubles more than a year ago. In addition, tax notifications, along with property taxes, include personal income tax for a total amount of 3.5 billion roubles.

This year’s innovation is the expansion of the list of citizens exempt from property tax, which includes Special military operation members, their families, the soldiers of the Russian national guard, the deceased, their parents and spouses and other categories of citizens. Property tax benefit extends to tax periods for 2022 and 2023.
