Address from Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on the occasion of the National Unity Day

On 4 November in his address on the occasion of the National Unity Day, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated all residents of the republic with the holiday and said: “More than four centuries ago, no matter what their origin, religion or social status was, citizens-in-arms, headed by Kuzma Minin and Prince Dmitriy Pozharski, united and freed their native land from foreign invaders.

Glorious history of our country has proved that invincible moral courage, strong will, heroism and unbreakable integrity have always been characteristic of our multi-national people and helped to overcome any barriers. 

Today as well in the zone of the special military operation, the brotherhood of our warriors – representatives of various nationalities and religions - has become an example of national unity opposing the threat of Neo-Nazism. Each of them feels the shoulder of his brothers-in-arms and trusts them without any hesitation.  Natives of Tatarstan honorably represent their republic and demonstrate numerous cases of courage and bravery. Support of soldiers and help to their families have become an internal duty and a point of honor for the whole community of the republic.” 

“I am sure that involvement of every one of us in the destiny of Russia and strong belief will help us to implement the baldest plans and projects and reach a substantial success,” the Rais of the republic said and in conclusion whished everyone good health, peace, all the best and prosperity.
